  • J. Bohlmann (invited speaker and panelist) American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Workshop chaired by Dr.  Arthur Carty, Canada’s National Science Advisor: “The Road to Innvoation: Canada’s Leadership in International Innovation”, St. Louis, USA, February 17, 2006. The workshop was co-hosted by NSERC (president of NSERC attending and introducing speakers) and CFI (vice-president attending and introducing speakers). This workshop was attended by representatives from Canadian embassies in the US, and other public representatives.

  • J. Bohlmann hosted a delegation from the Canadian Consulate in Osaka, Japan, and the Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. The visit took place in Michael Smith Laboratories. Topics included forestry genomics and natural products biotechnology. This visit resulted in an MTA and consulting contract with Dainippon Ink and Chemicals Inc., Japan.  February 8, 2007.

  • J. Bohlmann participated in meetings with Members of the Government of British Columbia, Victoria, organized by Genome BC. March 1, 2007.
